Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains what personal information MapBoost4U collects through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, and your rights. We keep it short and in plain English.

Who we are

MapBoost4U is a small local marketing business based in Bury, Greater Manchester. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at any time:

Email: hello@mapboost4u.co.uk
Phone / WhatsApp: 07356 213562

What we collect

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website, so you won't see a cookie banner.

Visitor statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not track you across other websites. It records only general information such as the page visited, the referring website, country and device type.

How our enquiry forms work

When you send an enquiry through our website, your details (name, business, email, phone number, what you need and your message) are saved securely on our website hosting account (Hostinger, UK/EU) and a copy is emailed to us so we can reply. If enabled, you'll also receive a short confirmation email. Only MapBoost4U can access stored enquiries, using a password-protected page.

To stop spam, we briefly keep a scrambled (one-way encrypted) code made from your connection, for up to one hour. It can't be used to identify you and isn't linked to your enquiry.

If you contact us on WhatsApp instead, your message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Why we use your information

We will never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the business, such as our website host (Hostinger), Cloudflare (visitor statistics), our email provider, WhatsApp, and the platforms you ask us to work on (Meta/Facebook, Instagram, Google). Some of these companies may process data outside the UK under their own legal safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together, and invoices and accounting records for 6 years, as UK law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Just contact us using the details above. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
